What is LP&L's cost per kilowatt hour for a residential customer? Costs can be found in the Electric Rates document. Click here
Can you change my billing date? Due date? Late charge date? LPL is not able to change the meter reading dates due to the geographical nature of this process. The bill due date and late charge date are dependant on the billing date. If you have further questions, please call 775-2509.

Payment Related Questions
How long does it take to post payments? All payments are posted immediately upon receipt. Night drop payments received at the Main Office after 4pm are posted the next business day.
Where are the authorized payment centers? Click here for the authorized payment centers.
How does LP&L handle checks returned for insufficient funds? There is a $30 fee for returned items.
Can I pay with a credit card? Yes, payments can be made online using the Online Payment Center or by calling (806) 775-3409.

How do I sign up for LP&L electric service and City of Lubbock Utilities service? Click on Request for Service or call (806) 775-2509.
How long does it take to get services turned on? LP&L will make every effort to provide service the same day requested. There are exceptions to same-day service, due to equipment requirements, accessibility to the property or various other reasons.
Is there a deposit for electric service? Yes, it is $135 for small commercial or residential customers.  The deposit for large commercial customers is two months of the estimated annual billing.  Click here for additional information.
What are the delinquency fees assessed on past due accounts? 5% of the unpaid balance.
